What is a Misdemeanor A Punishment while on probation?

My boyfriend is on probation for 18mo. Well someone made a false police report on him and he been in jail for 5mo. now just waiting on a court date. Well he finally went to court on 4-21-08 and just pleaed gulity so that the person who made the false police report on him wouldnt get probation for lieing. I talked to his parole officer and she said his two options are to go to ISF for 60days or they reinstate him on parole and let him out since it was false and he awaited to long for a court date. He should no in 2 weeks what should happen to him after the board of parole makes their decision. By the way since he been on parole this is his first offense. What do you think will happen???
