If the death penalty is to be legal, does it matter if the form of execution is humane?

It's all garbage. I think the death penalty should be structured in a way that you are killed in the same manner you killed someone else. What is all this humane crap? Did these sbags treat their victims humanly? Maybe even give the family of the victims the ability to be the executioners.
