dont listen to anyone that refers to apple as the iphone company. Youtube is a web site which means it is sending files to your phone from a computer far away. But there are millions of people trying to get videos from a limited number of computers. When that happens the servers start to slow down. Another thing that can be the problem is the app. Often times, safari handles youtube videos better than the dedicated youtube app.
