What is Virgin Trains doing?

It seems to me that since losing its XC franchise its going downhill, then again so is Arriva XC! They seem to be cutting stops, and limiting them to deal with overcrowding, and WHY is the Glasgow/Edinburgh service operated by a voyager, surely there are wires all the way? Alright journey times are great (mostly) but we have been able to do 125 mph for decades! An the only reason their times are so shot is because they don't stop anywhere! Finally, do they still operate regular N Wales coast line services or the Manchester Piccadilly - London Euston via Stoke on trent and Birmingham New Street (i did used to love that...) service.
